There are 3 types of headlight fitted to the 981 Boxster / Cayman: Halogen, Xenon and Xenon with Dynamic Cornering. If you are unsure of which lights are fitted to your car follow the guidance below.
Identification can be made by first removing a single headlight from your car by following the tutorial at the foot of this page. Removal takes 5 minutes.
Located on the side of the light is sticker outlining the part number along with other information, including a series of codes. See image below. The second 3 letter code denotes the specification of the light.
- ‘HAL’ – Halogen
- ‘XEN’ – Xenon
- ‘AFS’ – Xenon with Dynamic Cornering
