981 Boxster / Cayman Lens Replacement and Core Exchange

We charge a flat rate for both our Core Exchange and Lens Replacement Service irrespective of the type of headlight fitted to your 981.
However, for Core Exchange we do need to know the type required when you submit your order.
There are 3 types of headlight fitted to the 981 Boxster / Cayman: Halogen, Xenon and Xenon with Dynamic Cornering. If you are unsure of which lights are fitted to your car follow the guidance below.
Identification can be made by first removing a single headlight from your car by following the tutorial at the foot of this page. Removal takes 5 minutes.
Halogen. Halogen units do not feature any additional ballast or control units on the rear of the light as opposed to those circled in red in figure 2 & 3.
Xenon. Xenon lights feature a single ballast, circled in red.
Xenon with Dynamic Cornering feature both ballast (red) and a secondary servomotor control unit, circled in blue.
